Balanced Rock on an early summer day under a deep blue sky with fluffy white clouds passing through. While this edge view fails to show the pedestal supporting the rock, it does clearly show the stratified layers of sandstone lifted at an angle, well before the process of erosion had carved and washed away the softer soil. This is a feature attraction of the Garden of the Gods park in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA.

Redlands, California, high school class of 1950. Enlisted in U. S. Navy during Korean War. Married my sweetheart - took night school college - four really great children came along - Career in electronics as a circuit design and product engineer, leading into starting a business making electronic signal control systems for railroads. Photography was always a favorite hobby. After retirement, good years including lots of travel and living in Colorado, California, and Oregon. Now I am focusing on being more professional in photographing some of the beautiful and interesting things I keep seeing in this world.
