Balanced Rock in the Garden of the Gods park, Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. Seen here from the south, this rock continues to defy gravity and the foces of erosion. The red sandstone rocks are a striking image against the blue sky of the high desert. Wind blown clouds also complement the scene.
About Richard Risely
Redlands, California, high school class of 1950. Enlisted in U. S. Navy during Korean War. Married my sweetheart - took night school college - four really great children came along - Career in electronics as a circuit design and product engineer, leading into starting a business making electronic signal control systems for railroads. Photography was always a favorite hobby. After retirement, good years including lots of travel and living in Colorado, California, and Oregon. Now I am focusing on being more professional in photographing some of the beautiful and interesting things I keep seeing in this world.
