These enormous sandstone formations are common along the front range of the Rocky Mountains. Their smooth edges result from natural erosion over thousands of years, mainly caused by water and wind. A clear Colorado Sky above and native plants and trees complete the picture.
About Richard Risely
Redlands, California, high school class of 1950. Enlisted in U. S. Navy during Korean War. Married my sweetheart - took night school college - four really great children came along - Career in electronics as a circuit design and product engineer, leading into starting a business making electronic signal control systems for railroads. Photography was always a favorite hobby. After retirement, good years including lots of travel and living in Colorado, California, and Oregon. Now I am focusing on being more professional in photographing some of the beautiful and interesting things I keep seeing in this world.
